HEARING LOSS PREVENTION
So many people have hearing loss because of exposure to noise. Noise comes in many varieties. Loud music might be the most targeted noise to avoid, but many other noises are just as harmful. A key consideration is also the duration of time one is exposed to that noise. Factory noise, farming equipment, engine noise, airplane noise and hunting all can be very damaging to the cochlea.
Proper hearing protection can make the difference of having hearing loss or not having it. Foam plugs or self-formed plugs are not capable of providing the protection needed. There are ear plugs that are made to fit a person's ear canal that stop the high level of noise. These hearing protection devices are made to stop different levels of noise.
